This Week's Question:
Do your children, siblings, or other family members enjoy reading as much as you do?
I'd say yes, absolutely. I come from a family of readers. We didn't have a television most of the time I was growing up, so books were the go-to entertainment of choice. My mother devours mysteries like nobody's business, my one sister read three books a day before her work visa came through in New Zealand, and my other sister certainly enjoys reading as well!
Bookshelves are a constant in all of our homes. I get a little weirded out when I go into someone's house and can't see their books.

Hi,
ReplyDeleteI'm the only reader in my family. Have a great day!
Thanks for dropping by, Sherrie! That's too bad - but at least you have all the lovely book bloggers to talk about books with. :)
DeleteI love looking at bookcases in the homes of other folks.
ReplyDeleteI have readers, but none that read as much as I do.
Thanks for sharing.
Happy Hopping!!

It is like a little glimpse into other people's souls, isn't it?
DeleteHahha, I agree about being weirded out not seeing bookshelves with books in other folks' homes. Even with the transition to digital, there are still some books you simply need to own physical copies of
ReplyDeleteYeah, absolutely. I pretty much only buy books I've read and know I want to own, but I do want them!
DeleteLOL my house will freak you out then. I started collecting all my books on my Nook and Kindle because my new house is all windows and my husband doesn't want to block our views.

That would weird me out a bit. How would I know what we have in common? ;)
DeleteYou know, Groucho Marx had a funny saying about TV. Here's the quote: “I find television very educational. Every time somebody turns on the set, I go into the other room and read a book.” Lol. It's great that you guys read instead of watching TV!
ReplyDeleteYour sister can read THREE books in one day? AMAZING. It takes me at least two or three days to read ONE book, and that's depending on the length of the book, as well "life interruptions".
I have six floor-to-ceiling bookcases in our living room. And I feel SO comfy and cozy surrounded by them!
Happy Reading!! Hope you're having a great Saturday!! :)
She can. I'm almost but not quite as fast. But I never have that much concentrated time these days!
DeleteAnd your bookcases sound lovely!
Bookshelves are a must in our home too. I love to be surrounded by books.
ReplyDeleteIt's such a comforting, cozy thing.
