Book Blogger Hop: Favourite Reading Spot

 This Week's Question:
Do you have a favourite place to read?

My absolute favourite spot to read would probably be in my recliner/rocker by the front window in our house - good natural light, I can rock or recline depending on my mood and how my back's doing, and our older cat loves to snuggle up on my lap while I'm reading there.

However, given that my husband's back has been bad lately, he most often gets that chair and I turn to the far side of the couch (which also reclines - we're all about the reclining), and create a little book nest around myself, with coffee or tea within easy reach.

Ideally, though, if we had a larger place, I'd like a reading spot that is away from the television.

  1. I wish I had a reading chair! I need to finish my basement so I can get my library done haha

    1. Reading chairs are the best! I hope your library isn't too far away.

    1. It is! It's super comfy, and I can start rocking and drift away into the world of whatever book.

  3. Reclining is a great way to read.

I don't have a recliner, but should think about it.

ENJOY your day and your reading.

    Happy Hopping!!

    1. It is. When I get home at the end of the day and lean back in the recliner, I can just feel all my muscles start to relax.

  4. Oh, those reading spots sound real nice! We love to recline, too. My husband has a bad back, as well, and I just like to be as comfy as possible when I read.

I like how you make a little "book nest" around yourself, with either coffee or tea at your fingertips! All of us bookworms love either coffee, tea, or both! :)

Thanks for stopping by my blog and commenting on my BBH post!! :)

    1. Oh yes, we do! You need the proper supply of beverages. And I love the book nest, although it gets a bit unwieldy at times. And then there is a book avalanche.

  5. I often read with a cat on my lap, chest or stomach, depending on if I'm sitting or lying down. :-) I love that your chair is near a window. I think that's ideal.
