This Week's Question:
Does your significant other share your reading passion?
He doesn't read quite as many books as I do, but yes, my husband is also deeply attached the written word. He's got his Master's in English Literature and Creative Writing, and so hearing him talk about books brings me deep pleasure. He analyzes them in ways I would never think to. In fact, I'll often tell him about books I'm reading that he has not read, just to hear his second-hand insight.
The very best is when he reads to me. We don't find time for that as often as we would like, but having him read me the first Harry Potter book is one of my fondest memories. His Hagrid voice is amazing. If only I hadn't gotten so impatient for the rest of the series, we would have gone through them all like that.
It is wonderful to hear other opinions and an analysis that is unique would be heaven.

DeleteI love that you enjoy his reading to you! My husband and I have a few favorite authors/books in common, although he's a much more discerning reader than I am. I do tend to take my passion for books to a higher level than he does as well. He is understanding about it though. :-)
